Peter Pan Begins This week

Do you want to see flying and pirates, indians, lost boys and a crocodile?!?  Come see Peter Pan and experience the magic this coming Thursday, FridaySaturday and next Monday and Tuesday. The show starts at 7. Tickets are $8 - adults, $6-students/senior citizens, and $30 for families. It is so fun you won't want to miss it!!!

Q. Where were you born?

A.  Olympia, Washington

Q. Were you named after anyone?

A.  My full name is Maxwell Page Andrus.  My first name is from Neal A. Maxwell, and my middle name is a family name from my mother's side of the family.  

Q.  What made you get into teaching?

A.  I want to be a positive influence on the world.

Q.  Do you have a special talent?

A.  I like to do Improv, like "Who's line is it, Anyway?" or "Comedey Sportz."

A. Yekaterinburg, Russia

Successful Night at the Skyhawk Gorge!

Salem Hills High School's annual 'Skyhawk Gorge' was a huge success!  Our Make-A-Wish recipient Lydia is on her way to Walt Disney World.  A special thanks to our students, families, teachers and sponsors!  We couldn't have done it without you!

Skyhawk Gorge

The INFAMOUS Skyhawk Gorge is happening on Monday, November 4th.  This is Salem Hills High School and the Communities effort to help " Make a Wish" for a student we love.  Come by between 5 and 7 PM that night to taste the variety of foods sponsored by each class.  You may purchase individual, or family passes to the Gorge.  There will also be highly entertaining acts throughout the night performing in the auditorium.

Only Sophomores Attend School on Nov 6

Our sophomores will be taking the PLAN test on November 6th.  This day will also be one of our Minimal Days so the Sophomores will be coming home early.  Because of the space and personnel requirements our Jr's and Sr's will not  attend school.  The busses will run the regular times (for our Minimal Days)  for our Sophomores, lunch will also be served.

Thursday Football Game is Veterans Night

All Veterans will be admitted free to the football game against Orem this Thursday.  Before the game there will be a small Thank You tailgate dinner for all Veterans.  Right before kick off we would like to recognize all Veterans by having you join us in the center of the field.  Our football team, student body, and fantastic fans want you to know we appreciate your service and remeber still your sacrifice.

ACT Prep Class Coming

Just wanted to make all parents/guardians aware that the high school is offering an ACT PrepClass to help students prepare for the October 26th ACT exam.  The class will will be held on two Saturdays: September 28th (this Saturday) and October 19th from 8AM-12Noon.  The cost is only $50 (a great rate for an ACT prep class) and covers both days. Anyone interested can pay their money at the Financial Office.  The class is first come, first serve.  

Sr College Day

Seniors will be attending Senior College Day this Tuesday, Sept 24, from 7:45-10:30am.  They start in the Auditorium and will then have the opportunity to visit with representatives from 3 different Colleges to get specific information about the application process as well as other information.  This is a BEST DRESS day for Seniors.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Our parent teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, September 18th from 3:30-7:30pm.  This is a great way to get to know your students' teachers, to clarify any questions, and to address any concerns.  The teachers will all be located in the Gym.

Also that same day we will be having a Staff Development Day.  This is one of 4 different days set aside for our teachers to recieve training.  Students will be let out of school at 11:15, their busses will be running early to take them home when school is out.
