Academic/Department Letters

Counseling Office
Seniors, stop by the counseling office to see if you qualify for an academic/departmental letter. You can earn an academic letter in the following departments: Business, English, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, Math, Science and Social Studies. Applications are due by Friday, May 4th!

MTECH Registration

Counseling Office
MTECH registration opens on April 25th at 8 am! If you are planning to take a class from MTECH next year, you need to apply to be a student and take their assessment before you can sign up for a class. Some of their classes will fill up on the first day, like Dental Assisting and Diesel Mechanics. If you have any questions please stop by the counseling office.

Cap and Gown for Graduation

Seniors, go check out the poster in the counseling office window to make sure you have ordered your cap and gown for graduation.

Three Sport Athlete or Skyhawk 7 Award

Athletic Department
Attention, athletes! If you have received three or more varsity athletic letters this year and/or seven throughout your high school career, you qualify for a special award. Come by the front office and fill out an application to receive this honor. Applications need to be turned in to Mr. Gillie or the front office by Friday, April 27.

Utah Digital Arts Media Festival

Students,you are invited to attend the Utah Digital Media Arts Festival on Tuesday, May 8th. This is an awesome chance to learn more about cool careers that use computers. The day will include a fantastic keynote speaker, a variety of workshops, a t-shirt, and lunch!

We'd like to get a big group going this year, so talk to your friends and come have some fun with students like you who are into technology!

If you're interested in attending, please talk with Mrs. Nederhand and get a field trip consent form. You will need to pay $10 to the finance office by April 23rd. Please return your receipt and your T-shirt size to Mrs. Nederhand ASAP.

Code to Success

Code to Success – a free, 9-week coding boot camp for incoming freshmen to recently graduated seniors. The program is June 11th through August 9th and runs 8am-noon Monday through Thursday. Code to Success is open to all students, no matter their coding experience! The coding languages for the 2018 summer will include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REACT. Students can register for the boot camp at www.ctsutah.com/apply under the “Student Application” tab. Students will put their school district, and then pick their preferred campus within the district. Seats are filling up fast so register now!

Boys State

Counseling Office
Boys State is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for high school junior boys that you don’t want to miss! This program is an enhanced supplemental week-long course in citizenship, self-government, and public service. The deadline to apply is April 30th. Boys State will be held June 11-15 at Weber State University. Stop by the counseling office for more information.
