Makayla has been dominant this year. Last week she went to the championship at Dixie HS and lost to the returning 4A State Champ. The following day at the Enterprise tournament, she faced the same girl in the championship and destroyed her. Makayla was voted outstanding wrestler at the Enterprise tournament.
Kevin has been killing it in debate! He's rocking speech and debate events. Kevin is a bundle of energy and happiness. He makes everyone better.
Kenya has thrived as a performer in the Salem Hills Band over the last 3 years. Her confidence and perseverance have been the foundations of her success, and we are so fortunate to have her in our program. She is very deserving of this honor, and it is our distinct pleasure to recognize her!
Ava is always smiling, always helping others, and always seeking to understand by participating, asking questions, and trying out the math for herself. She is inquisitive and bright and friendly to everyone. Ava makes the math classroom a better place!

Courtney Russell-Drill: Courtney is the silent leader of the team. She is quiet but leads by her examples of strong work ethic, focus, and goes the extra mile in putting in extra time outside of practice.
Ashton Cook- Swim: Ashton has been working hard on all of his strokes with swimming and it has been paying off. He is a great teammate and works hard to achieve his goals.
Ashelyn Larsen: Fan of the Week
Sloane Palfreyman-Ballroom Dance: Sloane is a first year member to ballroom this year and she has shown so much progress in such a short time. She catches on to choreography quickly which allows her to utilize time to appropriately work on technique. She is always positive and brings a calmness to our team when under pressure! She works hard and it shows!
Kassenya Thomas-Math: Kassenya always works really hard in class. She comes to class with a positive attitude, and she is willing to work with anyone that she is asked to work with. If she doesn't understand an idea, she isn't afraid to ask for help. When she does understand a topic, she is always willing to help others as well.

Tyler Carlos- Wrestling: Tyler moved up to 120 pounds this year. Tyler picked up a few take downs before he got an early pin in the duel to get the team rolling for the rest of the night!
Chenielle Nye- Basketball: Chenielle has led us in scoring this year with 19 points per game. She more importantly has been a great leader and works hard each day in practice while also looking out for her teammates.
Mary Linford-Dance: For my performer I selected Mary, for being so dependable and a hard worker. Even though this is Mary’s first year on Dance Company she has been a great asset to our team. Not only does she put in the time, but she does it with a smile and positive attitude. Her willingness to apply feedback and her quickness to help others truly makes a difference in our team. I appreciate everything she does!
Carter Johnson-Fan: Tyler is the president of our Sox Club. We appreciate Tyler's leadership when it comes to encouraging appropriate sportsmanlike behavior in himself and his fellow students! Thank you for helping Salem Hills "Do Rowdy Right"!
