This last weekend, the Salem Hills Jazz Ensemble was selected to perform at the State Jazz Festival, being one of 40 bands selected from all around the state. Our jazz band earned a Superior rating from three collegiate professors of Jazz studies at this festival!
Marching Band Takes State with a record-breaking score of 78.263!!

Furthermore, to put this into some perspective, our score would have placed us 3rd Place if we were in the 5A Open Division (against bands twice our size), and only .5 behind 2nd Place. In other words, the band showed up in a big way this weekend!
