Gaming As a Career

The Microsoft Store at City Creek is very excited to announce a new Workshop:
Gaming as a Career. We have partnered with Utah Digital Entertainment Network and Utah Gamers Guild in order to provide a comprehensive workshop centered around different ways you can turn your passion for video games into a career. This will be a 3-hour event covering a wide range of topics. The first hour will be a panel of industry professionals available to answer any of your questions about what its like working in the video game industry and ways you can get yourself into the industry. The second will be a showcase of local indie game development provided by Utah Gamers Guild. They will be showing off their games in-development. The last hour, food will be provided and registration will open for the in-store tournament for the game For Honor.

All are welcome!

CTE courses

Students, did you take CTE courses (e.g. nursing, drafting, welding, animal science, TV broadcasting, law enforcement, foods, biotech, photography, etc.) in high school? If so, you might be eligible for a Career Pathway graduation cord. This cord shows your family and friends your academic and career achievements. To see if you qualify, pull up your transcripts on SIS and fill out the short form sent to your parents and your student email by Mrs. Call. You need 3 credits in an area to complete a pathway. Good luck!

Driver's Ed

The last drivers ed class of the school year will begin on Monday, May 1st. You need to bring your permit and $100.00 to the Finance Office to sign up. Sign up soon before it fills up!

Salem Youth Council

Salem Youth Council Applications are available in the front office or city office. They are due May 5th. Come and serve your community and have fun!

Nebo Film Festival

The Nebo Film Festival will be held on Monday, May 15th at Payson Stadium Cinemas at 7:00. The goal of the Nebo Film Festival is to promote the art and craft of film making in the Nebo School District. Any student grades 10-12 is welcome to submit. There is no fee for submission and each student can submit up to 2 film projects and 1 poster. Submissions are due by April 28th, 3:00 p.m. There are two main categories for entries: Short Film (2-8 mins) or Very Short Film (0-2 mins). A Spring E4A Summit is being held for you May 6th Park City- the event is free if you sign up. Collect a flyer from the front office today. Bring an E4A friend.

Mount Nebo Mountain Bike Racing Team
