SHHS Lockout Lifted

Submitted by curtis.burton on

SHHS Students, Parents & Community,

As many of you are aware, SHHS along with many other schools in the area did go into "lockout" protocol earlier this morning around 10:00 am. We were notified through our school resource officer that there was a threat in a neighboring community. We immediately notified everyone within our building of the situation and went into lockout, following  protocol. Students moved throughout our building and attended their classes on their regular class schedule. For those students who had classes at the ALC, seminary building and outside portable classrooms, we moved them into the auditorium with adult supervision as protocol dictates. After about 30 minutes of being in lockout, we were notified that it was safe to resume school as normal. School has currently resumed as normal.

We understand that these situations can be very alarming. Counselors and staff are available to students if needed.

Sincerely,

SHHS Administration
