The SHHS Performer of the Week for April 29-May 3 is Shantelle Ashton, representing Choir.
Shantelle was nominated by Mr. Bills, who said,
Shantelle Ashton's presence in the choir program at Salem Hills is invaluable. Her beautiful singing voice, coupled with her dedication and discipline, elevate our performances to new heights. However, it's her inclusive nature and genuine desire for every member of choir to have a meaningful experience that truly set her apart. Shantelle ensures that all choir members feel valued and included, fostering a supportive community within the program.

Congratulations to the many Salem Hills students who participated in the State Solo & Ensemble Festival at Provo High School on Saturday!
We had a record 40 superior awards given to Salem Hills, including Dalan Stokes, Parker Fillmore, Henry Draper, Carley Bradshaw, Josh Datin, Fiona Cope, Lydia Forsey, Whitney Shutt, Eira Groberg, Katie Maag, Maiya Shepherd, Kyson Shepherd, Grant Cannon, Xander Lofthouse, Mackenzie Christensen, Isabelle Crossley, Abigail Whiting, Morgan Dalley, Grace Richardson, Katelynn Patrick, Shantelle Ashton, Amanda Flinders, Tiffany Wilde, Noah Butler, Matt Cox, Isaac Peterson, Jacob Snow, Toby Holloway, Luke Brophy, and Isaac Christensen.
Additionally, our SHHS Singers earned straight superior ratings, as did the SHHS Brass Ensemble, French Horn Quartet, Baroque Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, and all three vocal small ensembles.
Congratulations to these amazing student musicians. You can check out their superior performances and many more at the upcoming Band, Orchestra, and Choir end of year concerts, coming up over the next three weeks. Come support them as they finish out the incredible year.
