The SHHS Performer of the Week for February 19-23 is Hiatt Carroll, representing Choir.
Hiatt was nominated by Mr. Bills, who said,
As a teacher, you can't help but feel like you hit the jackpot when a student goes out of their way to lend a hand or takes the initiative to help out. Hiatt is that kind of student. Since joining SHHS Choirs this year, he's been the go-to guy, always ready to pitch in. Whether it's showing up early to help set up, staying late to clean up, or even giving up his lunch break to tackle tasks like blowing up thousands of balloons—you name it, he's on it. And let's not forget, the guy's got talent. Hiatt's not just a great helper; he's a fantastic musician with a beautiful singing voice. He's a natural leader in his choir, constantly lifting others up and pushing for success. Call it cheesy, but Hiatt's the kind of student you wish you had an army of.
Congratulations to Hiatt! And thank you FIIZ Salem for sponsoring this award!
A big CONGRATULATIONS to the following students who have been selected as Sterling Scholar Semi-finalists! Logan Johnston, Mia Carlos, Toby Holloway, Samantha Weber, Dalan Stokes, Abby Whiting, Haven Harris, and Hannah Beecher. Great job everyone!

Evie Lingwall is the math scholar of the week. She works hard in class by participating in the discussion and trying the task every day. Evie will give other student's opportunities to answer questions before offering her own insights. She is happy to work with anyone and other students are happy to have her in their groups. Evie does a great job of increasing her own mathematical understanding and helping those around her understand better too!
