WHERE WERE YOU BORN?

Brigham City, Utah

WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?

An Old Testament prophet

WHAT MADE YOU GET INTO TEACHING?

In the summer of 2006 I waited tables in Grant Village, Yellowstone National Park.  Some of my coworkers were from Slovakia, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, etc.  I found myself going hiking, swimming, dancing, and playing board games with them despite our language barrier.  Soon, I was teaching them English in these different situations.  Often they would comment that I should teach English in their countries.  Ultimately, I found something that I was good at and satisfied that need in our community.

DO YOU HAVE A SPECAIL TALENT?

I play a few different musical instruments poorly (guitar, piano, electric bass, saxophone.)  Also, I'm a first generation college graduate.

WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN  FROM HOME?

Either New York-LaGuardia airport or the Ft. Lauderdale airport.  These cities were not part of my scheduled flight.  Never fly with Spirit Airlines.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?

I think I can tell if they are happy or not.

WHAT IS ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?

3M Precise Mounsing Surface

LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?

I have a toddler, I don't get to watch movies.

FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH?

I don't watch sports, but I saw a middle-weight boxing match once and it was wonderful to see.  Marshall McLuhan said sports are ultimately culturally acceptable violence; an organized war for team profits. Now you see why I don't watch sports.
