A list of helpful resources mentioned in the chat & throughout the presentation are listed here:

  • National Crisis Number (goes directly to Wasatch Mental Health): 1-800-273-8255
  • ParentGuidance.org
  • https://www.verywellfamily.com/coping-skills-for-kids-4586871
  • https://copingskillsforkids.com/calming-anxiety
  • https://www.strong4life.com

Additional activities families can do to promote overall Mental Wellness:

  • Family meals (at least 1 per day - with NO technology present)
  • Allowing children to fail in order to build resiliency
  • Going on walks or another form of physical activities as a family
  • SLEEP! Making sure your students are getting enough of it!
  • Healthy eating
  • Positive in the present (attitude of gratitude)
  • Providing service to others

We are so grateful for the communities support with this and we are excited to offer a family mental health seminar once per month.
