ACT TESTING

ACT March 22

SHHS will administer the ACT Test for our Juniors on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023. Each Junior student enrolled in SHHS is already registered to take the test. Students will need to arrive by 7:40 AM on test day with their charged and updated Chromebook/charger, a photo ID, #2 pencil for scratch work, and a calculator if wanted. There will be a calculator available on the testing software during the Math section if interested, but the school WILL NOT provide calculators.

Testing will begin PROMPTLY at 7:50 AM. Room assignments will be posted by the main office and counseling center. WE ENCOURAGE ALL JUNIOR STUDENTS TO CHECK THESE LISTS TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ON THE LIST!! If it isn't, immediately let Mrs. Black know so you can be added. If your name is not on those lists by test day, you will not be able to take the test on the 22nd. The make-up day will be on Wednesday, March 29th for students not able to test on the 22nd. These are the only two days available to take the ACT Test at Salem Hills.

The test will be administered on a school issued chromebook. Students MAY NOT use personal devices to take the test, as they do not have the correct software needed.
Electronics of any kind will not be permitted on test day. This includes cell phones, smart watches, and fitness bands. We encourage all of our students to get a good night's rest before the test and eat a wholesome breakfast that morning.

Seniors & Sophomores will have a remote (at home) makeup work day, instead of attending in person school.
Good luck juniors!
