Salem Hills High School Announcements for 12/17/2018

Wednesday, December 19th is the Wrestling game against Payson. If there is 50-100 students that attend the game, we will have an extended lunch & prizes on Thursday, December 20th. Also, make sure and wear purple in honor of Kaylee Marvin.

Make A Wish Foundation

Organization: Latinos in Action

Tuesday December 18th during Positive in the Present we are doing something a little different. We will be writing letters to Santa for the Macy's Make-a-Wish foundation. This activity is being held by our Latinos in Action Organization.

Snowblast Luau and College Tour

Organization: Counseling Office

Seniors, head to Snow College for a Hawaiian Luau Dance and Cultural College Tour featuring a movie night and catered dinner. This event takes place January 18th and 19th. Sign up today at snow.edu/snowblast.

Girls and Boys State

Organization: Counseling Office

If you are a junior boy you should apply to go to Boys State! It is held June 10-14, 2019 at Weber State University. The Boys State experience provides unique opportunities, hands-on learning, interactions with public officials, and strong friendships with students from other Utah high schools. “It’s a week that will positively change your life!” Stop by the counseling office for more information.

Utah Girls State is an amazing opportunity for junior girls! It is a hands-on week of democracy, leadership, citizenship, patriotism, and government. It is held June 3-8, 2019 at Weber State University. Don’t miss out on this amazing week! Stop by the counseling office for more information.

Accuplacer Test Rescheduled

Organization: Counseling Office

The accuplacer test that is scheduled for Thursday, December 13th is being postponed until next week. It will be on December 18th from 2:30-5:00 p.m. in the library!

Winter White-Out Dance

Organization:

The Winter white-out dance in Saturday January 5th. It goes from 7-10 pm. It is $10 per couple or $5 per person. It is a guys choice dance or you can come in a group or stag! Tickets will be sold January 3rd & 4th during lunch and at the door on the 5th. Make sure and wear white because their will be black lights!
